But look what we have found on this terrific Amelica site! Those Russians are ahead of everybody and they have created these awesome stickers totally compatible with regular Lego Duplo blocks! Today we are thrillied to share these Lego Duplo stickers with the rest of the world!
In this house we only keep true Duplo fans, our treasures are countless and one spends an hour every day just putting it away before bedtime, but…
fine, i was too cheap never got the chance to get the original 10558 number train, but those number bricks — they are grand! We needed them so bad that probably it was overheard somewhere (CIA? KGB?) and this terrific set came to live!
As we had sticky paper we simply printed it out (and you could use regular paper just the same and do the good old lick and stick trick), but then we had broad clear scotch applied for extra durability. This clear scotch tape keeps our blocks nice and protected, Lego Duplo stickers would stay put and scratch-free. You could also choose if you want to use matching duplo blocks, but this could lead to some kids paying attention to colour of the block instead of its number… up to you really. We also picked 2*2 tall blocks as the most steady ones, they tend to be just the right size.
you can really play tons of ways, we started with the most obvious matching game: with motorised mom delivering the number blocks, and kid fetching the appropriate image block, building a tall tall tower.
secondly, the idea was to choose block with a greater value, e.g. with block «3» played kid needs to continue with something greater eighter a number or an image. this was we practiced greater, less, equal concepts.
we also used a dice 1-10 (you can make one!), both players rolling the dice and building own towers competing for stability and height, it was so much fun!
there are also + — = sings, we didn’t get to them yet, but we did put the stickers!
and then of course we just played!
you can download these Lego Duplo stickers here, don’t forget about your very special 25% discount ( and it would work on Russian alphabet stickers as well!) and if you ask nicely perhaps we would also create English alphabet for kids from your part of the world.
